Win a Wishing Doll!

Everyone knows Momiji dolls are magic, right? Inside each character there's a tiny hidden card for your secret wish. Write it down, hide it in the doll and then BELIEVE!

This weekend we're giving away 5 wishing dolls. You can choose from Mizu, the mermaid, Candy Button or Little Starlight Girl.

Obvs, you can't tell us what you'd wish for now - otherwise it won't come true. But if you'd like to enter, leave a comment and tell us what your biggest wish was when you were 5 years old! Contest closes at midnight on Monday and we'll pick 5 winners at random. Keep your eyes peeled on Tuesday for a list of winners.

I remember my 5th birthday clearly (I’m 32)
I got the cutters mouse card and badge from my teacher and played with my pram and stuffed every teddy in my one bent wheel jungle pram so no teddy felt left out. And watched my favourite Disney movie-Alive in wonderland. My wish was to receive a birthday card and badge every year. A very simple and happy wish.

When I was five my wish was to become a hippie. We lived very close to the beach and rode bikes on the boardwalk most evenings. I thought hippies were so cool and I loved their clothing. This was in the late 60’s early 70’s.

Denise

When I was 5 years old, I wished to be an author and illustrator. I would try and write epic stories (with the help of my mum), illustrate them, and then staple the sheets together so that they resembled little books. My love for books hasn’t changed!

Cat Matthies

I still hold onto this wish, but I know it is a little unattainable. I wanted to have a beautiful house build and a green hill so I could adopt all the animals in need. They would have a big barn to stay in right next to the house so I could take care of them. And I would give each one an hour of individual time each day to make sure they know they are cared for.

Brittany Williams

My biggest wish was to be an artist when I was 5. I was always drawing something no matter where we were if we were at home, travelling or even near the beach. I was always drawing up a storm and if I wasn’t drawing I was painting or using oil pastels. How I miss those carefree creative times.

Aimee

When I was 5, my secret and dearest wish was to have the miniature toy fridge on display in the local department store. It was light blue, round corners, freezer on top. I never asked for it, never mentioned it even to my sisters. Somehow, I assumed that it was too special, expensive, and way out of my reach. Still, every time we visit that store, I would stare at it, fascinated, imagining all the fun I would have playing with it. I think that’s when a life of daydreaming started for me.

Rosana Mueck

Times were hard when I was growing up and all I ever wished for was a beautifully dressed doll, unlike the baby dolls we got from the five and dime stores. We still loved what we did get because we knew our dad worked hard every day to support us four kids and our mom, but it sure was hard to look at those beautiful dolls in the department store knowing we would not be getting one for birthdays and Christmas!

Mary Dailey

I wanted to be a trapeze artist at the circus, much to my parents’ amusement! Instead, I’m now a mom of 2 little ones, which is still pretty circus-ish. 😂

Erica Hall

When I was 5, I used to lay on the floor looking at the ceiling wishing about walking on the ceiling, like on the cover of Harry’s House by Harry Styles.

Violet

I wished for a playroom kitchen when I was 5 years old. I got it for Christmas that year and was so excited!

Terri

I don’t remember what my wishes were when I was 5 years old, but when I got older as I was about elementary age, I remember that I wanted to be an actress or singer or a waitress which my family owned local mom pop restaurant business.

Kammi

My biggest wish when I was a child has always been to have a puppy or a kitten at home, but it never came true, because my parents didn’t let me have pets. 😢
I know that one day it will come true 🙏🏼💖

Lily Moon

I remember wishing for a Palomino horse. I told my mom that I would keep the horse in our backyard. Never happened.

When I was 5, my wish was for a real wooden doll house. I also thought if I had a good house for my little dolls to live in, they might come alive at night! My Grandparents did surprise me with a great doll house as a gift eventually, and I played with it every single day for years. But although I never saw the dolls come alive of course, I always still wondered if they magically did wake up when I went to sleep each night! :)

Mary Lynne Zahler

My 5 year old wish recorded by my kindergarten teacher on some dandelion artwork I made: “I wish I could play on a cloud with a kitten.”

Holly Glenn

I wished for the Barbie dream house with the elevator

Janica Dudley

When I was 5, I was wishing for an American Girl doll, a shiny disco ball ring like my mom had in her costume jewelry box, and books – all the books – we lived across the street from the library and I used to walk over there by myself and just sit and read. I eventually worked my way through all the Nancy Drew books they had – and there were so many!

Julia E
