I wanted to be a unicorn for a day.

When I was five years old, I wished for a sister – and I got one! :)

I wished I didn’t have to give up my cat when we found out my dad had an allergy to them. Was the first pet I ever had and though we got a wonderful dog afterward I was bitter, not mentally ready for another pet so soon and blamed the dog for not being a cat. My mum asked me if I wanted a dog and I said yes even though my heart was saying no since I figured they would get a dog anyway. Had a bad relationship with dad too which didn’t help and if I’d been able to choose between him or the cat I would have picked the cat.

Back when I was five, I always wished I could fly, float in the sky or have magic powers. 🪄✨

When I was 5, I wished for a pet (dog or cat) but I got a goldfish and small box turtle from the fair instead.

I wished my grandmom would be with me forever.

When I was five, I loved reading (I still do!) and wished for a huge, ornate library just like Belle had at the castle in Beauty and the Beast.

Shall I be honest here? I could never imagine the future as a child so I never wished for anything or to be anything (I used to hate the question “What do you want to be when you grow up?” as a child as I had no answer & also didn’t want to grow up!) but I was an anxious child so every night I would wish that the burglars wouldn’t come that night AND if they did come to murder us, that they’d kill me before my parents! Well, I’m a lot more wish-doll lighthearted now, as an adult than I was aged 5! But there’s the truth from child-me!!! 😇🖤

At five years old, I wanted a brother or sister. I never knew that my mom had difficulty with pregnancies, and ended up having 19 miscarriages in her life time. How my parents wanted more children as well! I was born 3 months premature, born in 1959. I had very slim chances in living and surely the heavens answered my Mom and Dad’s prayers, with me. An only child I ended up being, but with two very loving parents.

How my parents wanted more children as well! I was born 3 months premature, born in 1959. I had very slim chances in living and surely the heavens answered my Mom and Dad’s prayers, with me. An only child I ended up being, but with two very loving parents.

I can remember wishing to see the ocean with my mom brother and Grandma from about age 5 until forever finally when we were 10 years old we went on a 14-hour road trip just to get to Myrtle Beach I will never forget that week

I wished that I would grow up to work with animals, especially in Africa.

When I was 5, I wished for many things: a Barbie power wheel, to buy the store,Target, when I grow up, and to be 100% Japanese LOL. Of course, None of those came true but it’s nice to remember the kind of imagination I had at 5. Thank you.

When I was a kid, my favorite Disney movie was The Little Mermaid! I would sing along with the soundtrack over and over again! I remembered I have the cassette for The Little Mermaid which I highly treasured so much! I wanted to be like Ariel – to be free to do whatever she wants!

I wished for lots and lots of toys and to go play on the beach! :)

When I was 5 I started to swim. My favourite thing was swimming underwater.
Now I’m a mermaid. Literally. I am a certificated freediver with the monofin and a colourful tail.

When I was 5 I wanted to be a nurse in the baby nursery of the hospital. I loved babies and wanted to take care of them full time!

I wished for toys.

When I was 5 I wished and wished for a horse. I think every little girl at some point is in love with horses and for me it was love at first sight. I asked my parents for one, wrote to Santa over and over and even began saving my allowance for one. I didn’t get my wish immediately, but when I was 9, my wish came true! A little Quarter Horse mare and for the next 15 years we were best friends. I think I learned a lesson that stuck with me even all these years later. If you wish for something and really want it, if you keep at it, someday that wish will come true! Don’t give up :)

My biggest wish at 5 was probably wanting a Rainbow Bright bedroom set. I honestly had the best dog, a She-Ra castle, my own bedroom and a little brother so I was a happy kid.

My wish at 5 years old was to be a doctor, or professor, or mathematician. But now, all i want is to be healing my hands for work or for to be independent.

I used to wish I could fly. I would jump off everything and flap my wings as hard as I could.

My wish when I was 5 was for my parents to stay together. They divorced when I was 4 but they got back together when I was 5. And so every birthday I wished they didn’t break up again. I’m now 33 and my dad is remarried and my mom is happily single.

When I was 5, I wanted to be a horse trainer

My biggest wish when I was 5 years old was for a PJ sparkles doll. She had a pink nightgown and long hair with sparkles in it! I could never forget this doll

My wish is to have a cat as a pet.
