I wish for a tea cup Chihuahua’as mine crossed over the rainbow bridge.

When I was 5, our family didn’t wish for much. We didn’t have much but didn’t want for anything. Just to hang out with each other. We would drive to see our cousins in a different state and get one big cake for about 5 of us cousins because so many of us were born in the same month. It was just a beautiful memory. We were happy.

When I was 5… Wow, I wish I could remember what I wished for at that age. I have trauma and anxiety-related memory issues, so my childhood is a blur.

When I was five, I wished for a Barbie Power Wheels Corvette. My dad, being a huge car nut, excitedly got one for me for Christmas. As he proudly watched me in my first car, I immediately kicked it in reverse and backed into, and then under, the dining room table. Unfortunately, I’m not sure my driving skills have improved much since then. 😂

My wish when blowing out candles on my 6th birthday (close enough to five, right? 😆) was to see a parade. And lo and behold, in the next year, I DID see one in person. Wish granted! It might have helped that I told my father what my wish was after I blew out the candles…

My biggest wish when I was 5 years old was to grow up faster! Now I really do NOT want this wish anymore! HA HA!

My biggest wish as a five year old was to ride in a hot air balloon. In Colorado for Labor Day weekend, we have a hot air balloon event every year where people would meet at the park to watch hot air balloons from all over the world, take lift off into the morning sunrise and than a ballloon glow party at night. I have always wanted to soar the sky on my own colorful rainbow.

When I was five I wished that I could be a ballerina and have the ability to talk to animals.

Hi. I wished for a horse until I became old enough to drive. By then, I chose a used vehicle over my horse desire. For years, I collected the model horses and displayed them in my bedroom. Now, I collect Momiji Dolls!

When my mom was expecting her second child, I was told I was getting a sister…but it ended up being a brother. Apparently I was not happy. I begged Mom & Dad to take him back to the hospital so they could bring back the sister I had expected. I eventually got over it, but the wishing was hard for this one.

When I was five, I wished to become a mermaid. The Little Mermaid had just come out and I spent every day in my neighbor’s pool swimming that summer. I thought if I swam enough I would just magically turn into one!

I wanted a baby. I told my mom that I wanted to have a baby shortly after my baby brother was born.

When I was 5 years old, I wanted a Toys r Us shopping spree so I could stock up on My Little Ponies, Care Bears, Rainbow Brite dolls etc.

I wish Momiji could go back to making the original dolls that I enjoy so much. I have enjoyed the plush and bought 3 plush rabbits and a Roarsome.

When i was 5, i wish to meet a pretty girl, fall in love and get married I will like the little starlight girl doll. Peter. :)

When I was little I wished that I could be a doctor, ballerina, artist, who was also a mermaid.

My wish is to have a house cleaner for my home , I have little kids who keep making mess over and over again I get tired of cleaning after them especially doing the dishes and laundry 5 times a day. I need a break from all that work I know it’s not gonna come true but still I can wish for it .

When I was 5, I wanted to be a veterinarian. I would always get so upset when I would see an animal sick or hurt.

When I was 5 our house caught on fire in middle of night with my mom and brother and i still sleeping inside we barely made it out of the house. Our 2 nee kittens mimi and jinks didnt make it out and we lost everything. So my wish for a long time was for a new home for us.

When I was five, I wished to meet Pooh and Tigger. Luckily, my family were able to take a trip to Disney World. My sister and I had so much fun!

When I was five I sincerely wanted a bike but my dad was from the city and was afraid I would get hurt if he got me a bike. Since then I have had many bikes and have never gotten hurt riding any of them. All four of my children (and my husband) have had bikes.

I wanted to go to Sesame Street, or at least be in one of those one-on-one segments where a kid and Muppet would talk. (I’d still seek some advice from Grover today, to be honest.)

When I was 5, I wished to be a model when I grew up. I would cut out the OG models (Cindy, Namoi, Linda, Christy) from magazines and tape them all over my walls and made scrapbooks. Fast forward to now…I only ended up growing to 5 ft tall, lol!

When I was 5 I wanted a chatty Cathy doll that my neighbor Debbie Adler had – I never got one and Debbie didn’t share very well . But she was only 4 .
We moved away when I was 8 as my father passed away – and I never saw Debbie again. Or chatty Cathy hahaha

When I was five, I was obsessed with 101 Dalmatians. I always wanted a real dalmatian. I remember one thanksgiving in particular wishing on the wishbone (winning) and not having my wish granted. Soul crushing. My daughter, however, on her 5th birthday wished when she blew out her candles, “I wish I was a pretty real princess.” Which of course was already true. Never stop wishing on dandelions, wishbones, birthday candles, or eyelashes. <3
